Beautification results in beauty...right?


For some, injecting beauty where there is believed to be none is beautification...

But what about finding the beauty that is already there...
THAT beauty is the foundation of the environment.

A foundation, if built upon, can sustain.

Walking my neighborhood is a treasure hunt for beauty...
I always strike gold...

Today's golden nugget... Norma...

Norma: "Good morning!"
Me: "Good morning, Can I take you picture?"

Me: "Tell me about Norma..."

{well over an hour later}

I learned we share a race, a gender classification,  the love of unique eye wear, a desire for a peaceful existence, resiliency, belief in corporal punishment, spirit of helping others, love of humanity, morning routines, and a vice or two...

We don't share climate preference, sexual orientation, parenting classification, residency history, educational background, spiritual beliefs, or musical preference...

What matters...
 In the fight for our neighborhood, I know she'd come to battle and I know she's not far.
