Journey...and so it begins....

As I watched this Quinceañera start her journey, from childhood to young lady through womanhood, I think back to when I was fifteen.  My mom's hopes and dreams for me were big, but I hadn't yet figured out my heart's desire. Along my journey I struggled, I'm gifted in many areas, but my heart and mind hadn't synced, until I got behind a camera.  My eyes open behind camera, I see completely behind the lens.  Everyone should be afforded the opportunity to 'do' what they love.  I love photography, it is my hearts desire.


This leg of my journey I'm stepping out on faith to follow my hearts desire.  The path to finding my hearts desire wasn't easy, but the joy in finding it is priceless.

As I embark on the rest of my journey - because at 34 I'm still journeying to reach womanhood - I have faith that the Quinceañera will one day find that priceless joy on her path from young lady through womanhood, however long it takes to get there.
